THE SOCIETY WAS FORMED IN 1997. Our membership is primarily located in the United States, but has members from throughout the world.

The JBS-USA works closely with the Jussi Björling Sällskapet and the Jussi Björling Appreciation Society in the UK, always to remember the artistry, voice and persona of the incomparable Jussi Björling.
We publish Newsletters in July and November, plus an annual Journal in February.
National Conferences of the JBS-USA have been held in Washington, D. C.; New York City, New York; St. Peter, Minnesota; Charleston, South Carolina.
Regional gatherings occur throughout the United States.
The Jussi Björling Society-USA has actively researched, restored and released CDs of rarely heard performances by Jussi Björling, usually in conjunction with the other two Societies. These CDs are frequently available in the USA only through the JBS-USA.
